Little Giants Movie Lesson Plan helps teachers show students how it feels great to be part of a winning team…but it can really hurt when we are made to feel like we don’t belong because we aren’t good enough.

After completing Little Giants Movie Lesson Plan, students will have greater knowledge of seeking excellence, leading by serving, and enjoying the journey.

Danny O’Shea had always lived in the shadow of his brother Kevin, who was famous in their hometown as a college football star who won the Heisman Trophy. And when Kevin didn’t pick his niece Becky to be on the PeeWee football team he formed, Danny decided to finally stand up to his brother by forming his own PeeWee team for his daughter.

The two coaches organize their teams to compete in the showdown to see which group will represent their town in the PeeWee football league. Along the way, we discover how hard it is to fit in when so much is at stake and we see that it’s not always just about the game.

Little Giants Movie Lesson Plan teaches us about how we can learn to be winners, the importance of being on a team, and how the idea of “one time” can inspire us to keep competing even when the odds are stacked against us.

In order to complete these activities, students will need to watch the movie Little Giants, which has a rating of PG and a run time of 1 hour and 47 minutes.

Each of our Leadership at the Movies lesson plans includes the following activities:

✅ Reflection: allows students to journal about one of the movie’s themes prior to watching.

✅ Analysis: questions and prompts to analyze the characters, plot, and climax of the movie.

✅ Practice & Discussion: a partner/group activity that takes the principles of the movie and asks students to take action and grow in their own lives.

✅ Extension: a RAFT (Role-Audience-Format-Topic) writing prompt to help students apply their new knowledge.

✅ Lead for Impact: challenges students to pinpoint how the hero of the story exhibited The 12 Fundamentals of Impact and then synthesize how they can apply the lessons to writing their own story.
